FAQ Response:
I have 800 hours of training in Shiatu and am licenced with (competitor, as massage). I have 300 hours of training in acupressure. I want to join AQTN as a naturotherapist to do massage for my clients under naturotherapy.

You would normally be eligible for either massage or naturotherapy, based on your education, but not both.

However, given your existing affiliation, AQTN would consider your intent as fraudulent, according to our interpretation of our code of ethics and as a result you would not be accepted.
FAQ Response:
I am just heading on vacation for two weeks so I was wondering if the welcoming kit could be sent to my Halifax address.

We can only mail the welcoming kit to the Quebec address on file.
FAQ Response:
Can a member have more than one designation? Yes, AQTN can provide up to two designations, if the educational requirements are met for each designation.
FAQ Response:
Can a naturotherapist do a ionic spa detox procedure? Yes, as long as it is not part or related to a pedicure, which is not an acceptable naturotherapist act.

You must have received the appropriate training to render this type of treatment. An ionic spa detox can be combined with a massage treatment, for example.
FAQ Response:
